Pub Kitchen Floor Replacement Sutton
Most pub kitchen floors don't give up overnight. They wear down gradually. A scuff becomes a crack, a crack lets water in, and once water gets underneath the flooring, it starts to lift and separate from the subfloor. At that point you can't clean it properly. Liquid and grease get into the gaps, bacteria builds up, and no amount of mopping fixes it.
It's a compliance problem too. A kitchen floor that's cracking and letting grease settle into the gaps won't pass a Kitchen Compliance Audit, and by the time it's that bad, replacement is the only option.
The grip goes too. No matter how good the original flooring was, once it's deteriorated past the point of repair, it can't do the job it was designed to do.
We've just completed a full replacement at a pub kitchen in Sutton. Stripped back to the subfloor, levelled, primed, and at this site we used Altro Stronghold throughout, which is designed for commercial kitchens.
If you manage multiple sites, you probably already know which kitchen floors are due for an upgrade. The floor will tell you. If it's lifting, cracking, or discolouring around the joints, it's time to sort it out.
