Medlec Group Retains ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certification

Medlec Group passed its latest external audit and maintained its ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, the international standards for quality and environmental management.

The British Assessment Bureau, a UKAS-accredited certification body, carried out the audit. It covers our electrical, fire alarm and HVAC installations, reactive building maintenance, rewiring and testing services.

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates of registration issued to Med-Lec Electrical Contractors Limited by the British Assessment Bureau

What the audit involves

ISO certification is reviewed every year. An independent auditor comes in, looks at how we run the business, and checks that we're doing what our management systems say we do. Passing means our processes have been checked by someone independent, not just by us.

ISO 9001 covers quality. It looks at how we deliver a consistent service, how we deal with problems, and how we keep improving. ISO 14001 covers our environmental impact. It looks at how we measure it, manage it, and reduce it, including how we handle waste and keep up with environmental law.

What this means for our clients

If you manage facilities for a pub group, restaurant chain or commercial property, your procurement and compliance teams will know these standards. Having both certifications means you can show independently verified quality and environmental management when you work with us.

You can read more about how we approach this on our sustainability page. And you can check both certificates on the UKAS CertCheck register.
