Medlec Named Electrical Contractor of the Year 2026 by Mitchells & Butlers

The trophy shelf at Medlec HQ is getting crowded. Last week at the Building Forum in Birmingham, Mitchells & Butlers named us their Electrical Contractor of the Year 2026, and a fourth M&B award came home to Epsom.

The Building Forum brings the M&B building team and their contractors together over three days to talk through plans and priorities across the estate. We've worked with Mitchells & Butlers for years, so it's always a good few days in the calendar. This year it came with a trophy attached.

Medlec's four Mitchells and Butlers awards, Electrical Contractor of the Year 2019 and 2026 and Contractor of the Year 2022 and 2023

Four awards across seven years

This one joins some familiar company. We won Electrical Contractor of the Year back in 2019, then Contractor of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. Different awards, same reason behind them.

Our electricians and engineers look after M&B sites, handling planned and reactive electrical maintenance and emergency call-outs. Hospitality is a demanding environment for electrical work. Faults need diagnosing quickly, often while a venue is open and serving customers, and repairs have to hold up under the pressure of a busy service. When a pub or restaurant opens on time with everything running as it should, that's skilled work done well under pressure.

You can't win an award four times by fluke. It takes a team that turns up and delivers, day after day, year after year. So this one belongs to them.

Thank you, M&B

Our thanks to Mitchells & Butlers for the recognition, and for a great few days in Birmingham. We'll see you at the next one.
